What are we seeing?
Mortgage rates are currently a little higher than they were just a couple of weeks ago. However, the market is changing quickly, and lenders are continuing to adjust their products.
There are already signs of movement in the other direction, with NatWest announcing reductions to a number of its mortgage rates.
This is why it’s important not to base your plans on a single rate or a snapshot of the market. Mortgage products can change regularly, sometimes within days.
Our advice if you're thinking of moving
If you're planning to buy, it's worth speaking to a reputable mortgage adviser early on.
They can look at your individual circumstances, explain the options available and help you understand what you can comfortably afford. Some mortgage products can also be reserved for up to 90 days, which can provide greater certainty while you progress with your purchase.
